This page explains exactly how UrRecover makes money, in plain terms, because you should know that before you take a recommendation from us.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click a tracked link and complete a qualifying purchase, the vendor or affiliate network may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid otherwise.
Which links
Product links pass through urrecover.com/go/ so we can maintain destinations consistently and measure outbound clicks. Links to paid products use confirmed affiliate tracking and carry rel="sponsored nofollow".
When an independently tested product does not have an active affiliate relationship, we may discuss it editorially but do not send purchase-intent clicks to an untracked vendor page. Its commercial button instead names and opens a relevant tracked alternative.
Links to our own articles, sources and documentation are not affiliate links.
Who may pay us
Our currently tracked partners include MiniTool, EaseUS, Wondershare Recoverit, Wondershare Dr.Fone, iMobie PhoneRescue, iMobie DroidKit, AOMEI FastRecovery and O&O DiskRecovery. Tracking is administered through approved programmes on networks including Awin, CJ Affiliate and Impact.
Disk Drill, Stellar, 4DDiG, AnyRecover and R-Studio may still be discussed because they are relevant to the independent comparison. Their commercial buttons lead to clearly named tracked alternatives unless and until a genuine affiliate agreement becomes active.
We also recommend software that pays us nothing — including PhotoRec, TestDisk, Windows File Recovery and Recuva — when our testing indicates that it is the right option.
How we keep it honest
- Commission rate is not a scoring input. Rankings come from our published test methodology, which measures recovery rate, structure reconstruction, safety, value and usability.
- We buy every licence at retail. No free review copies or vendor-supplied hardware.
- No paid placement. No vendor can buy a position, badge or mention.
- No pre-publication review. Vendors see our articles when you do.
- Free tools compete directly. They appear in the same rankings and can outrank paid products.

Hardware links
We will identify a hardware link as an affiliate link only when an approved tracking programme is active. Otherwise, it is an ordinary reference to the retailer or manufacturer.
Our advice, and its limits
Everything on this site is general information based on our testing. It cannot guarantee that a product will recover your specific data because the result depends on what was overwritten, how the device failed and what happened afterwards.
Use a product’s free scan and preview, when available, before buying. If the preview does not show the files you need, do not purchase solely in the hope that payment will change the scan result.
